The Dalcroze School of the Rockies
invites you to experience one of the United State's most celebrated Dalcroze Clinicians: John (Jack) R. Stevenson !!!

This workshop will be geared towards musicians, music educators, dancers, and dance educators. With Jack Stevenson ,
(Diplôme Supérieur), we will explore a
variety of subjects delving into the relationship between music and
movement and how this relates to performance and pedagogy. In addition
to Jack, Jeremy Dittus
(Diplôme Supérieur and DMA in piano) will offer a demonstration class
of young students in the Rhythmic-Solfège program at the Dalcroze School
of the Rockies. No matter what your level of expertise in music or
dance, this workshop will provide great ideas for amateurs, performers,
and educators of all kinds...you won't want to miss it!
When: March 10th, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Morning sessions will include: Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Dalcroze Solfège. Afternoon sessions will include teaching demonstrations, Improvisation, and Pedagogic Applications (session topics are subject to change).
Where: St. Thomas Episcopal Church (2201 Dexter Street, Denver, CO 80207)
Cost: $60 ($30, students with valid ID) for those
who pre-register by March 1st. If you arrive at the door,
registration is $75 ($45 for students).
