To provide maximum flexibility and convenience to students, the program is broken down into several components and pricing options.  It is expected that students will pay bimonthly or by the semester.  Prices are based on a 14 week semester or approximately 4 months of classes, though we actually schedule 15 weeks per semester.  This will allow for any cancellations due to instructor illness.  Cancellations due to inclement weather will not be made up.

Complete Tuition for Full Time Study

Standard tuition covers weekly lessons in Eurhythmics, Improvisation, Solfège, Methodology, Class Observations and Student Teaching/Mentoring.

  • The cost for all of Complete Tuition is two $425 payments, or $800 payment per semester.  Payment is expected at the beginning of the term or in the case of bimonthly payments, at the beginning of the term and two months later.

Individual Course Tuition for Part Time Study

The most cost-effective way to complete the Professional Studies Program (PSP) is to enroll under Complete Tuition listed above.  However, for those individuals who would like other options, the following list is a breakdown of each course and the corresponding price.

Eurhythmics meets for 90 minutes each week as a group class.  Through assigned readings, we will also cover some philosophy in these classes as well.

  • The cost for Eurhythmics is $275 per semester.

Methodology meets each Sunday from 5:35- 6:15 as a group class, immediately following Eurhythmics courses.

  • The cost for Methodology is included in the cost of Eurhythmics.

Solfège and Improvisation both meet weekly as private lessons or small groups.  Each lesson is 30 minutes if taken individually.  Lessons will be arranged based on the schedules of the students and the director.

  • The cost for each Solfège or Improvisation course is $520 per semester.

Class Observations can be done at any time there are classes being offered.  Please check with the director before attending any classes.

  • Observations are free of charge for anyone enrolled in Dalcroze programs.

Student Teaching/Mentoring will be done on an individual basis.  It is expected that students will attend, practice-teach, and participate in the classes they are treating as a Student Teacher situation each week.  Before or after each class, the director will meet with the student for mentoring, including discussions of what happened and why, what will happen and why, and other pertinent issues relating to Dalcroze Pedagogy.  These individual sessions may last anywhere from 15-45 minutes depending on the student's needs and the director's concerns; classes themselves will range from 45-90 minutes.

  • For anyone enrolled in Eurhythmics courses the cost of Student Teaching/Mentoring is included.

Student Discounts

Students with a valid student ID can receive 10% off their total tuition bill.

Scholarships

For those individuals with financial hardships, there are scholarships available.  This may be in the form of work study at the discretion of the director.   Please contact the director for specific details.

Referrals

Each time you encourage someone you know to enroll in the Dalcroze Professional Studies or Adult Enrichment program, you can receive 10% off your total tuition for that particular semester.

Make-Up Classes

All prices are based on a 14 week semester or approximately 4 months of classes, though we actually schedule 15 weeks per semester.  This will allow for any cancellations due to instructor illness.  Cancellations due to inclement weather will not be made up.  Though every effort will be made to offer make-up classes of methodology, solfège, and improvisation there will not be make-up classes in Eurhythmics due to the group nature of the classes.  Still, the director will be happy to meet with students individually to ensure they understand the subject material for any classes missed.

Adult Eurhythmics for Enrichment

These classes will meet during the PSP class times to create a larger classroom dynamic and to show a wider variety of classroom activities.  This will also provide PSP students the opportunity to practice teach with adults.  Prices for these courses are based on the total number of classes.  Click here for more information about the Adult Enrichment Program.
