Professional Studies Program
The Dalcroze School of the Rockies offers professional training and development for adults who are looking to further their understanding of music and movement on a deeper level and for those interested in pursuing the internationally recognized Dalcroze Certificate or Dalcroze License. Some special features of the program include:
- This is the only authorized training center west of Pittsburgh, and it offers a clear, detailed path to Certification and/or Licensure. (See the detailed student handbook, below)
- The curriculum is written with the student in mind. Checkpoint Observations are scheduled when students are ready; students can take as much time as necessary to prepare and do their best.
- The DSR professional studies program also provides opportunities for long-distance study including lessons via Skype and weekend intensives; please see the 2013-14 schedule to learn more.
- We also offer special workshops with some of the finest Dalcroze teachers in the world. Past clinicians have included: Monica Dale , Anne Farber , Mary Dobrea-Grindahl , Steven Moore , Stephen Neely, Hélène Nicolet, Bonnie Draina , Jack Stevenson , and Lisa Parker . This season we are thrilled to have Ruth Alperson and Eiko Ishizuka serve as workshop clinicians.
