Professional Studies Program

The Dalcroze School of the Rockies offers professional training and development for adults who are looking to further their understanding of music and movement on a deeper level and for those interested in pursuing the internationally recognized Dalcroze Certificate or Dalcroze License.  Some special features of the program include:

  • This is the only authorized training center west of Pittsburgh, and it offers a clear, detailed path to Certification and/or Licensure.  (See the detailed student handbook, below)
  • The curriculum is written with the student in mind.  Checkpoint observations are scheduled when students are ready; students can take as much time as necessary to prepare and do their best.
  • The DSR professional studies program also provides opportunities for long-distance study including lessons via Skype and weekend intensives.
  • We also offer special workshops with some of the finest Dalcroze teachers in the world.  Past clinicians have included:  Monica Dale, Anne Farber, Mary Dobrea-Grindahl, Steven Moore, and Lisa Parker.  This season we will have Jack Stevenson and Hélène Nicolet join our workshop faculty.
